Orange Tree

Planting the Orange Tree!
Ben, Quade and Scott digging the hole for the tree.
Jarett chillin with me while we watch the boys dig the hole!

Jarett taking a stick, dipping it in the dirt, and tasting it. Yummy!

Ben and Quade and their Shovels. Notice how Quade's shovel is chipped and broken. Now imagine that shovel stabbing into the top of your head. That is what happened to poor Ben. The boys were digging in the dirt and Quade stood up lifting his arm into the air and coming down full speed towards the dirt..but missing and nailing Ben on the sideo of the head. Next I hear Ben screaming and grabbing the side of his head now covered in blood. And during all this Quade is freaking out due to the sight of blood running down the side of Ben's head. My instant thought was "great now we have to go to the E.R. for stiches." (While all of this is happening Scott is inside using the restroom.) So I calmly stood up and went to Ben to check him out. And at the same time I was trying to calm Quade down from freaking out letting him know it is okay it was an accident. After cleaning the blood from the side of Ben's head the wound was visable and thankfully it was only a small cut with a pretty good goose egg under it. It is amazing how such a small cut can produce so much blood! NO stiches were needed just some pain killers for a headache and ice for the huge bump. Ben's head did hurt for a few days afterwords, but Luckily Ben has a very hard head, had it been one of the other boys I am sure we would have been on our way to the E.R.
There is a gap in the picture taking while the tree was planted due to the drama above!

All finished! Great Job Scott and boys!
Now we just have to wait for our little tree to grow so we can enjoy the oranges!

How is it your life is never boring? Oh ya! Because you have three (maybe four) boys! You are an incredible mother. I don't know if I could have been so calm about the whole thing. :) I'm happy you planted an orange tree, now we can trade oranges next year the crops come in!

Holy Cow, I think I would pass out if I were there. Especially if I was the mom and had to figure out what to do! Poor Ben!
Oh and congrats on the new up and coming Moore! I hope it's a girl!
