On Saturday Scott needed to go up to Cabela's to do some shoping for his scouting trip for Elk this next weekend. Since the weather was so nice we decided to take the whole family for a spur of the moment trip to the World Wild Life Zoo. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Family Home Evening
Family Home Evening
On Monday for Family Home Evening we decided to go out and climb Turtle Rock.
We were not quite sure how the boys would do, but figured we would give it a try. So the whole family including our 10 month old Lab went for a hike. It turned out to be a great adventure and the boys loved every moment of it. There were a few parts that were steep and narrow but as we worked together we were able to make it to the Top. Our dog whimpered and cried a lot but the boys were very brave. Scott carried Jarett on his back while I followed behind helping Ben and Quade. While we were hiking through the desert and up Turtle Rock I could not help but think about the Pioneers and the trek west that they made. And how hard and tiring it must have been for them, especially for those with small children.

What a great family activity. I bet your boys will always remember activites like the zoo and hiking.
Don't you just love those spur of the moment trips. Sometimes those are the best. It is always so fun to go to the zoo. Your kids are getting so big. I'm sure they keep you busy. You guys have such a cute family.

Love the family home evening hike, what fun and what a great activity. How funny that the dog cried and not the boys :).
